How to Use Apache Ignite, In-Memory Data Fabric

This presentation will provide a deep dive into Apache Ignite, a top-level Apache project.

Apache Ignite is the in-memory data fabric that combines in-memory cluster & computing, in-memory data grid and in-memory streaming under one umbrella of a fabric. In-memory data fabric slides between applications and various data sources and provides applications with the ultimate performance and scalability.

Apache Ignite is the first general purpose in-memory computing platform in the Apache Software Foundation family. It is expected that Apache Ignite will have the same effect on Fast Data processing as Hadoop had on Big Data processing.

Nikita Ivanov

Founder of Apache Ignite and CTO of GridGain Systems

Nikita Ivanov is founder of the Apache Ignite project and CTO of GridGain Systems. Nikita has led GridGain to develop advanced distributed in-memory data processing technologies that have become the premiere Java-based in-memory data fabric, with instances being depoloyed every 10 seconds, throughout the world.

Nikita has over 20 years of experience in software application development, building HPC and middleware platforms, and has contributed to the efforts of notable companies including Adaptec, Visa and BEA Systems.

Back in 1996, Nikita became one of the pioneers of using Java technology for server side middleware development, while he was working for one of Europe's largest system integrators.

He is an active member of the Java middleware community and contributor to the Java specification. He is also a frequent international speaker, having given over 50 presentations globally at various developer conferences over the last 5 years.
